Two-year-old Robbie, is old enough to fend for himself on special pint-sized skis.

Today I am headed to Colorado for a proper vacation with my husband. I am primed for spring skiing in the order of sun and balmy temps – but the forecast tells of fresh snow for the Rocky Mountains, adding to what by all accounts has been an epic season. Winter in April.

Vermont: Maple Sugar Season

It’s that time of year again. Maple sugaring activities are underway in the north country, especially in Vermont – the Green Mountain state produces the most maple syrup in the nation. On March 22 and 23, more than eighty farms will open their sugarhouses to the public for the Vermont Maple Sugar Makers Association’s annual open house weekend. If you are too busy skiing next weekend, hold out until April 5 and 6 to enjoy maple syrup on snow at Stowe’s famous Sugar Slalom race celebration.

Après Ski: Cute Boots

Shown here in the Bear Den Lounge at Burke Mountain, Vermont. Currently, these very boots can be found exploring Sun Valley where they undoubtedly have more like company than in the Northeast Kingdom.

The season is winding down and if you are lucky enough to find your size, you will probably be lucky enough to find them on sale!
