I love the idea of sending wishes for the new year via post.  It is a greeting that is universal, optimistic and has longevity – an entire year!  Though not nearly as popular a practice in the U.S. as sending Christmas cards – the new year’s card seems to be a well-established tradition internationally.  Here are ski-themed vintage postcards from Russia, Germany and the Netherlands.
